Online signups have begun and end on October 15, 2025 (end date will be December 1, 2025 for  Kindergarten-1st Grade Boys or Girls instructional programs). Those wishing to sign up AFTER these dates will be charged a $10 late fee. Please sign up by October 1st and receive an Early Bird Discount of $15 (See below)!


***** For 2nd grade to High School, the player must live within the Northwest Local School District.  If you live outside of NWLSD, we will have to get a waiver approved******

WOAC INSTRUCTIONAL BASKETBALL PROGRAM

(KINDERGARTEN/1ST GRADE PLAYERS ONLY)

WOAC's Instructional Basketball program strives to develop fundamental skills through positive, age-appropriate coaching.  The program emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth over "just winning".  We aim to prepare these players for higher level play while fostering a love for the game.

Instructional Basketball season begins January 4th.  Players will spend 30 minutes in practice, followed by a 30 minute scrimmage each week through early March (skipping Superbowl Sunday).  Players will receive a game shirt the first week that they should wear each week.  Basketballs will be provided by WOAC, players may bring their own if desired (Instructional basketball is a 27.5 size)

Teams are formed in early December.  While we try to accommodate teammate/coach requests, we are unable to accommodate every request.  We will do our best to group teams by grade level and school.  Registration will remain open until December 1st OR until registration spots are full.  Rosters will be released to coaches by mid December, and families should expect to hear from their player's coach by the 3rd week of December.
